An option to turn jump scare down please.
I won't lie it worked. I could hear zombies thumping around but could not see them, finally found them a boom, yes I did jump but my ears also. I like the fact that is louder, but an option to tweak it would be nice.

Its annoying after the first couple. A strange addition i gotta say, some of the audio I'm finding a bit off, turn on taps sounds like a squeaky toy, blades sounds like hitting a sack of potatoes.

There used to be options for each and every sound effect, can't seem to find it anymore.

Embrace it!
Subscribed. New jumpscare sound is just too much.

There's a new one? :ImGhost: what's it sound like? I thought you were talking about the high pitched violin note, which I thought was okay but sometimes a little dramatic, going off when you spotted a zombie across the map lol. Unless that was a bug.

NO, this one is the full orchestra, with timpani ! Scared the sh!t outta me, as I have the BG music set pretty low. Also, the post-game music is at full volume for some reason.

That sounds pretty horrifying, lol. Walk around the corner spot a zombie and wham, Phantom of the Opera blasting your ears apart.

Hopefully the sound stuff gets settled with hotfixes and stuff by the time I play again :winter2019surprisedsnowman:

It's probably meant as if your heart had dropped into your pants. Or something other than a heart.

I do like the new jumpscare sound, it startled me a few times and it's saved my ass once or twice while I was sneaking around in dense fog & didn't notice a nearby zombie. Maybe the volume is a bit too high.

However, sometimes it triggers when I'm already expecting a zombie attack & it only distracts me then. There was a suggestion in another thread to have it trigger only when you're not in combat stance, which makes sense. If I open a door in combat stance I'm probably already expecting/ready for a zombie to be there, making the jumpscare noise unnecessary in those situations.

Yeah so a zed follow me into twiggies bar and I was behind the bar and knew where he was banging on the door to get me behind the bar. I could see him from the bar. And I went through open the door but my character was still jump scared even tho I wasn’t but hey

When it works it works. Nothing was actually jump scary before. Or maybe it was like at first but it wore off quite quickly.

This, so much this. It's plenty frightening enough finding a zombie in a house. They really did not have to add extra sound to it, so at least give us the option to turn it down! I used to quite enjoy the jumpscares, they weren't too bad, but now I can literally feel my heart trying to leave my body. They were fine the way they were. It really puts me off playing the game at all any more. If they are trying to give people a literal heartattack, they are well on track ><
