Game wont load after last update download

Hi I have just opened steam to play Project Zomboid and there was a download...21/1/25 now when I play the game it doesnt load. The screen goes black shows loading mods and scripts then closes. Does anyone have the same problem and how can we sort it. Thank you

worked for me in debug mode, deactivated all mods, and tested some of them bit by bit. everything works perfectly with and without debug, and with a few mods that are important to me and have been updated. most mods say in the description whether there are updates or not, or that there are still bugs despite updates and that people are working on them. you might have to make the effort to look them up if you want to play with mods.

my game didn't load at the beginning either, i uninstalled and reinstalled it, sorted out the mods (there's a good guide to this a few pages earlier, which isn't that time-consuming). i've read the problem with debugging several times now, but it was definitely due to the mods.

crash right after loading screen even no mod activated, i'd tried many way but the game work normally(including all mods) right after removed -debug , is it considered as a bug or just only me got that problem ?!

Yeah, same issue here.. I had a gut feeling that it wasn't just me, seeing as I obviously hadn't downloading/done anything since I had just updated the game. Hmm..

I wonder if this is just a fix for those of us who utilize the feature, or if perhaps it was luck? Either way, glad you're able to load in now, lol. But this definitely needs more attention for others to try out. Thanks!

Ok so for all of you struggling to run the game in debug while running mods i may have a solution that worked for me at the very least.

First run the game without debug and dissable all the mods, this should allow an initial debug startup. Then start enabling mods 2 by 2 (it's faster) with debug enabled restarting the game with every successfull launch. This should allow you to run the game until you finally run into that one mod that doesnt work.

For me it was the mod called "Real Bread" (Better Bread) that broke it, after dissabling it i just enabled everything else and it was fine from there on.
