[Build 42] Can I change Day Length MID-Game? [Please Read Below]
[Single Player]
[Builder Mode]

I have tried [-debug] mode in-which no setting is present.
- Tried a Mod and loading it into my save to no change but with ERROR.

I've only just realised that whatever the default setting is, is actually irritating as hell... man can't even enjoy a day of fishing without having to wipe my own arse, having to consistently battle the pitch black darkness, and without further annoyance, I'm constantly hungry and tired and hungry and tired and ..... i'm 3 months alive, but my freaking supplies are limited--

not to mention I have chickens that lay eggs that are like Russian roulette when making a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ omelette to be told my freaking omelette has become somehow rotten...

I have a cow or 2 to make me butter but i don't freaking want BUTTER FOR DINNER!

I want fish, please help if you can., THANKS!

I use the Sandbox settings mod that San recommended to you in the posts above for changing the sandbox settings and I use the mod that I recommended to you for customizing the daylength.
Bot mods enabled in main menu and for the savegame.
In my mod load order, the "[B42] Customizable Daylength" mod comes before the "[B42]Sandbox Options" mod (Sandbox settings mod is almost at the bottom of my mod list).

When I loaded my save, I opened the Sandbox Options (right-click menu) and there is the entry from the Customizable Daylength mod, where you can manually type in the value in minutes. I wanted 90 minutes, so I typed 90.0, hit "Apply Changes" then "Close" the Sandbox Options window. Then just restart the whole game ([ESC] -> Quit To Desktop) and load your save and that was it for me, new daylength was applied.

Oh nice. I think you can also edit the save file but this is way more convenient for testing.

I had the same issue, stamina management make the exploration slower when I have to bleach a place then I had to redo my sandbox settings mid game.

Without mod, you can start a new game and make the new settings you want in that game.
Then recover the sandbox settings in your local save and transfer it to what save you want.

There is a detailed topic related to that in Steam forum.

Have a good information hunt !

Thank you for trying to help - but this is literally just -debug sandbox settings --- I cannot find any option to change day time hours?

am i missing something or just being stupid?

No, you are probably right. I haven't tried it myself and just assumed that worked as the B41 version. My bad :(

so having darkthoughts - you'd prefer me to test it for you for educational purposes resulting into a possible corrupt save :steammocking:

I could change my length of day with this mod without any issues in 2 different savegames:

I know you said you tried a mod already and it was propably this one, but just in case.

Hey thanks for replying, this was 1 out of a few that didn't work for me.

Could you post a step by step? I obviously know how to load the mod via mid save, what else after because i used a sandbox mod to find the function of this mod and it didnt work,

much much appreciated

maybe won't help on your current save but going forward you can supposedly use it to make nights go by faster

Thank you ever so much! I followed your instructions and worked like a charm!

For anyone else with a similar mod issue, It's because i didn't load the mod via the main menu (as you suggested) only by loading it into the save!

I'm currently on a fishing spree thanks to you and my god I recommend 90min as a sweet spot.

thank you for your time, much appreciated

You just reminded me of the egg going rotten bug……

Whole carton of fresh eggs. Crack 2 open to make omelette - BAM - immediately rotten.
