Putting out player fire

How are you supposed to do this?
I woke up on fire and could not use the extinguish fire option on myself with a bottle of water. I ran to the bathroom, could not extinguish with either sink, toilet, or bathtub.
Is this just another oversight or is there some specific way?

You need the water source to be in your main inventory and not favorited. But if you catch fire, you're usually dead anyway. You burn much faster than the zeds. Kek.

I had a full bottle of water. No extinguish option on myself. 3 years since b41 and this is what they put out smh.

I think it has a small chance to extinguish if the player has moved.
