lanterns and candles do not emmitt light when placed
This has always been a staple of pzed, as finding melee weapons, tools, guns and ammo. Power is needed for a bunch of things, such as powering gas stations for fuel. Unless you just want to waste your life walking everywhere while overencumbered, or unless you just live in your safehouse and go out to chop wood or fish or whatever.
Sound like you might be a new player who is not comfortable with the game yet. No matter if you are or not, we've all been there and thought about this one way or the other 🙂
Looks like i triggered something, that was not my intention.
As a fact, flashlights are abundant. Almost every house has a radio with a battery in it, just have to disassemble them.
Idea. Let us make candles with animal fat (new item) or animal brain. Let us make candle holders with pottery. Both give Pottery XP. Give Pottery one more use besides building a forge. -> That way you can make your base rely entirely on candles, saving energy and gasoline.
