The UI is so huge in B42 - fix?

So, I reinstalled PZ after several years of not playing, thinking "hey I'll get into it." I then learn that B42 is out. While playing B41, the UI was as it always was - pretty minimalistic, taking up just a little of my screen space (2560x1440 or whatever).

So after learning some of the new things in B42, I turn it on and woah. . . unplayable. not only is there fog everywhere, but the UI is MASSIVE and takes up most of my screen. I go into options and turn everything to small, but nothing works.

Also, there's "dev" stuff all over everything (like, literal dev options on everything).

I got tired of not being able to have my inventory open (because it takes up nearly half my screen) and revert. I go back into B41 and everything is perfectly fine.

Wth? How to make UI smaller? Any way to turn off the dev options in the menus, etc?

Check the options for UI size and text size. That should change things.

You can resize most of the UI by clicking on the corner of their window and dragging them, the same way you resize any windows.
The issue right now is crafting and building menu, which somehow don't fit sub 4k screens.

can't really comment on any of your other issues since i don't experience them, however when it comes to the options changes not occurring, that has happened to me. normally to get ant graphic related option change to 'take effect' i have to restart the game.

Its customisble as of B42, if its still giant then you have mod issues and need to remove them from your workshop, game files and then reinstall your game

This. UI changes seem to require a restart.
