i can't play without the animated vanilla cars mod, or Ki5s cars mods. like the other commentor, it is a bit of a puzzle why they don't add popular mods to the game. if the work is already done... and if the modder is keen to turn over the code for free, why not?
-Say that the game is barebone and that the modders/mods are the only things keeping the game alive (even though the devs are creating the tools to make modding easier)
-Also say the devs are wasting time implementing many new items since mods can already do it.
It's insane to me. Even a friend of mine is joking about the small and "pointless" addition from the devs, yet spend hours scrolling through the mods to find other things that are even more pointless (like boats... That aren't even driveable, they are just there. Or trucks...)
Considering the mess which is b42, stability is not TIS's concern. IMO, TIS doesn't want to create a precedent of paying for mods.
Like there is a smithing mod for b41, which is better than smithing in b42 right now. There is a long survival mod for b41, which is better than new additions to crafting in b42.
If TIS wants to keep reinventing the wheel, whatever, it's their game.
