Rain barrels bugged after crash
So, i noticed that after my game crashed, the rain barrels i had on my base just stopped working, can`t check their condition and the sinks that they were plumbed to don`t work either, anyone else had this issue and found out a fix?

I had the same issue today. I had to disassemble and build new. :( But I noticed my Cooking Pots and Buckets are acting strange too.

Same for me. All items that can collect water just lost its ability to hold any liquids. Pots, buckets and rain collecting barrels
Crashes will cause weird issues with the game.
Do you use mods?

Exactly for those issues i reinstaled the game, deleted EVERYTHING and unsubscribed all mods. So a clean Vanilla game deletes EVERYTHING about Water/Liquids after a crash. All Containers (that were filled with Rain) Lose their content AND function. Seriously, you can´t even re-fill a formerly filled and now empty bucket. And again: No Mods whatsoever.

Sorry if i sounded to harsh there, i know it´s unstable. But i have this issue since release of B42 and lost 4 Games this way.

I deleted everything from folders/mods before going to the unstable b42. Not a single mode so far that i put into b42. Now the game is unplayable, i am on my 3rd character now. First two i lost to crashes and it simply said can't load the save in red colour. On this third one i am 4 months and few days in and my goodness i think i would be on my 7th month now if all these broken things didn't happen. To fix these liquid things you have to remove and place them again > restart > load back in > 50% chance that troughs for animals work, 100% that all my buckets cant be used again. Non stop crashes. As i write this i just went back to b41 and have fun.

Yeah, i totally fell you. Lost all my Survivors due to crashes. I blamed the mods and knew it was unstable. But the last crash wirhout mods (and not even a single hint in the windows event viewer) destroying again several hours of playtime finally pushed me back to 41. 4 Times is enough for me :)

I've had only 1 crash in B42 in many hours of playthrough, and this happened to me as well.

Every bucket, pot, or bowl lying around lost their liquid container ability permanently. I had to rebuild the rain collectors as well. Items that were inside crates and other containers didn't seem to be affected.

I recommend everyone to get the Simple Item Spawner mod to get around these bugs in unstable. If an item breaks, put it in a trashcan, delete it, and spawn an identical with this mod without having to switch to debugmode.

There are other similar issues (like when building a forge, expensive materials can sometimes be consumed without the forge actually being built), so this mod is quite essential while playing UNSTABLE.

This is why unstable versions of PZ are called IWBUMS, "I Will Back Up My Save". My crash only set me back a single day because I frequently make backups of my save.

You should be doing the same playing an unstable beta!

Oh, i actually did this, but not every day, so i´ll alway lose a coule of days, where i have to remember what i did and repeat the processes. This is a bit tedious, so i chose to wait for a more stable version. But i can totally recommend this procedure. Actually, it would be nice from the Devs to maybe impelent a "Save" Feature as long as it´s unstable.

Edit: And i had a playthrough without a crash for 7 Month´s, about 70 Hours played. But then it all went to digital hell ;)

Thanks for the suggestion, didn`t know about this mod, my game has been crashing quite frequently so i`ll be using this a lot :ccVeryHappy:
Out of curiosity: Can you spawn items in the debug mode? Without this Mod?
I try to avoid mods to be sure any issues ar not the result of a mod.
