Do you use mods?
Sorry if i sounded to harsh there, i know it´s unstable. But i have this issue since release of B42 and lost 4 Games this way.
Yeah, i totally fell you. Lost all my Survivors due to crashes. I blamed the mods and knew it was unstable. But the last crash wirhout mods (and not even a single hint in the windows event viewer) destroying again several hours of playtime finally pushed me back to 41. 4 Times is enough for me :)
Every bucket, pot, or bowl lying around lost their liquid container ability permanently. I had to rebuild the rain collectors as well. Items that were inside crates and other containers didn't seem to be affected.
I recommend everyone to get the Simple Item Spawner mod to get around these bugs in unstable. If an item breaks, put it in a trashcan, delete it, and spawn an identical with this mod without having to switch to debugmode.
There are other similar issues (like when building a forge, expensive materials can sometimes be consumed without the forge actually being built), so this mod is quite essential while playing UNSTABLE.

This is why unstable versions of PZ are called IWBUMS, "I Will Back Up My Save". My crash only set me back a single day because I frequently make backups of my save.
You should be doing the same playing an unstable beta!
Oh, i actually did this, but not every day, so i´ll alway lose a coule of days, where i have to remember what i did and repeat the processes. This is a bit tedious, so i chose to wait for a more stable version. But i can totally recommend this procedure. Actually, it would be nice from the Devs to maybe impelent a "Save" Feature as long as it´s unstable.
Edit: And i had a playthrough without a crash for 7 Month´s, about 70 Hours played. But then it all went to digital hell ;)
Thanks for the suggestion, didn`t know about this mod, my game has been crashing quite frequently so i`ll be using this a lot
I try to avoid mods to be sure any issues ar not the result of a mod.
