Issues placing certain appliances

a) I am unable to place a white microwave on a steel counter, whether it be a straight or corner piece.
b) Unable to place an exhaust hood, over top of an industrial oven, or an industrial oven under an exhaust hood. (may be the duct work in the building interfering with the recticle, but not sure.) I'm trying to do this on the 'north-western' wall in the small room on the 'north-eastern' corner of the Genfac Co. building/warehouse. Coords based off of movement/tile direction; not the real world map.

*bump* Has anyone else found a way to do this? I'm trying to do this inside a single storey car garage. There's no HVAC in my way here.

There is a mod that allows the industrial oven to fit under an exhaust hood. I don't use it; industrial fryers have capacity for 50 food and are easier to move skill-wise.

Why would you use a fryer as a storage cabinet? I tend to just leave those where they are. Is there a specific reason for them; can you only make onion rings or something if you use one vs say an oven?
