3000 zombies killed...and still they are moving around....
Hi all!
Sorry for my english....From day one to 3months now i killed around my safehouse 3000 zs. Well, it seems to me, that this is not fair because playing in sandbox i took the option of zombies in the urban areas. In Mauldrough there is no single Z on the highway/center...they are all massed and massing up in the south outskirts.
Don´t get me wrong....i know this is zomboid...and i love it..but, its a row of games where this alwasy happens. I did all the carpentry, never fired a shot,no helicopter sounds present, sometimes a single "ambient" shot is near to my base....so i am absolutely quiet...and the zs are coming in.
Is this made by the game? Am i a kind of "zombie magnet"? And if so, why i didn´t make this expierence in my earlier games.
thanks for your answers - cheers Erich

If you ever plan on surviving longterm you cant base up in city limits. You can change the spawn rate of zombies in the sandbox options, i set mine to respawn once a month myself.

But regardless, if you want to live dont build a safehouse inside city limits. Sound events will come and gradually draw thousands of zeds to you from other areas of the city. So just by simply being in your base the sound events will draw them to you if your base is too close to a city.

I suggest the Isolated Forest House, has been great for my 9month character, I havent seen a single zed at my walls.

Thanks for your answer! :) I ve set the respawn-option in my sandboxgame to 0.1% in 14 days...or so....hmpff.
Maybe, you are right...to stay outside the citylimits. But in earlier games i survived once for 9 month, without being so harmed as now.
Anyway, - thanks a lot for informations.
