stuck industrial fridge

I picked up a very large industrial fridge thinking i could use it in my base. Now it wont let me put it down. Any ideas?

Can't you right-click and place it? Or use the pick-up/put-down/... menu?

Nope i cannot, i stuck it in a shelf for now. The only option i have is move to floor and it does not work.

Maybe you're to weak to pick it up to move it anywhere. Were you well fed when you first got it? Maybe carrying less stuff?

is it multiple parts or something because if it is then you need all the parts nearby to be able to place it

Just use a Cheat Menu or Debug Mode to fix it, since is a bug, it doesn't count as cheating

If you move the fridge with well fed, then obviously you can't move unless you drop anything you have, to move 40kg you need to have 10kg in the inventory

Without having glitched I don't know how it might be, but it isn't by chance in your backpack is it? In which case you'd need to unpack it.
If it is in 2 parts you need both parts. Either both in main inventory or one on the ground and one in main.
Can you put in anywhere? Sometimes you run into weird spots where you can't place an item either for game/engine/"legit" reasons, or ....there are a few strange tiles out there.
Place in the menu on the left doesn't work?

Were you equipping the fridge in your hands? It needs to be in your main inventory.

Make sure the tile or tiles you want to put it down on are clear. Since fridges are tall, also make sure you don't have anything on the wall.

You are making no sense, man. Well fed simply adds encumbrance cap. And it barely has anything to do with being able to put down a fridge. All the moodle does is increasing the threshold before your character get extremely encumbered.

The issue is your character has a hard limit of 50 for carrying weight. Only certain actions can go beyond this hard limit.

If a tool is required to move an object like the 40 weight industrial fridge, you wont have space to take it out of your backpack and equip it lol

There are 2 simple ways around this: Have the tools you need in your main inventory before moving (i think its a crowbar for the industrial stuff)
Put the fridge in a car seat, then equip the tools you need to install it. Car seats can hold 1 of ANY weight item. So generators, ovens, fridges, washing machines. Anything (but only 1 lol)

Now some actions ignore the hard limit of 50 carry weight. Queuing up lots of mechanics actions will let you carry and ENTIRE CAR worth of parts well over the 50 limit, you can hold every component lol

You cannot die from this. Your health will drain 25% due to over loaded debuff and your stamina will drop to 0 but you will not die.
