Outdoorsman and Resilient
So I've played zomboid in the past, but I've never gotten as into it as I have recently. I've been looking deeper into the skills and it feels like there is some logical trade off here and there. But there isn't anything quite as oddly implemented as outdoorsman and resilient.

It seems strange to me how Resilient is a perk that reduces your base sickness to 45% of its value. But outdoorsman reduces it to 10% of its value. Resilient being themed as the perk to counteract illness reduces it by a lot less. Anyway, both of these perks have other benefits of course, but Outdoorsman specifically being a -2 perk means that you net a positive 2 points by bringing prone to illness. Not to mention prone to illness and resillient are tied to one another so you can't bring both of those (not that you would want to anyway).

I know it's not the craziest thing because it's just +2 net points. But then It feels logical to me that outdoorsman should at least be a -4 perk. Or at the very least Resilient and Outdoorsman to have their reduction to sickness swapped.

No idea if the patch 42 changes will touch up on balance things. Thoughts, input?

that's one of the why outdoorsman was always S+ tier to take. only 2 points and a lot of good stuff inside. And also why resilient is considered always waste of points and below F tier. Outdoorsman gives a lot of stuff outside lower cold chance, and resilient only gives lower chance to get sick. Getting cold is very easy to cure anyway and catching it is not that a big problem and if you have some herbs around it almost remove cold from the game. You just eat whole bowl of soup, equip warmer clothes, eat 2/3 herbs and go to sleep

I agree as well. It would be foolish not to run Outdoorsman on any build. Some mods make it more expensive (as it probably should be).
