Multiplayer chunks loading problem
Hello i am renting a a server, and i am having issues with chunks not always loading. I seem to have enough Ram 8GB and only used maximum of 5GB. Problem correlation with zombie population, vehicle driving and latency spiking high.

I am the only one with this issue on the server, i tried most suggestions i could find with making an exemption in my antivirus for Zomboid so on.

Worst cases i get stuck in a few chunks and they wont load any further even if the latency stabilises. Sometimes the ping flies high as 900 and showing red.

Im settled with my connection and latency is stable, if i only play on foot around my base my latency are on stable 130ms, but quickly goes to 250 and beyond if i start driving far and reach an area with high populated zombies it gets worse quickly and red triangeles block me driving as im waiting for it to load.

Is this just the game or some weird issue on my end or server is laggin (Even though two other players have no issues with same base ping)

Whats your maximum RAM and assigned RAM on the PC?

Whats your zombie population? We found if we go anything higher than 3.0 it bugs out the server, hoards desync and disappear, and then spawn back in around the player, frames driving or walking will drop to 10 or less when the game tries to load on screen anything more than about 500 - 600 zombies.

Update: i Switched the game from an 2.5" SSD to an M.2 SSD instead and helped alot but whenever theres alot of zombie populated areas and car driving it still happens with orange triangeles or just black chunks.

Project Zomboid bat 64 says "-XX:+UseZGC -Xmx3072m"
I have 30GB available, not sure its telling me 30GB maximum or 3GB? And whats the assigned im not sure what "UseZGC" means

Zombie population on server is actually set on low but areas like the prison still hoarded and game

Hm, could you try testing on someone elses server as well? This it to test whether it would be related to the server specifically or if it would be an issue with your client. So far it looks like an issue with the client, perhaps the connection speed between you or the server isnt fast enough? Since that usually would dictate how fast chunks load.

I've had the exact same issue on my friend's server. I've experienced the orange traffic cones he's talking about, like an infinite line of them just appear crossing my path in front of me while driving and the car automatically stops to allow the chunk to load. If the chunk fails to load, you end up stuck in a chunk surrounded on all four sides with black void, which requires a reconnect to get those chunks to load properly.

Yep exactly, this all happens in correlation with driving, high zombie count and ping, it becomes very unstable reaching 900ms.
