Keeping game in build 41 state?
I'm just curious if there's a way to keep the game like (in offline mode) With all the mods to keep plating it like that? I really enjoy the game like it is in build 41 with many many mods! What scares me is that many mods are from 2020 and might never get updated after build 42! So if there is a way to keep my game in the current state (offline with all mods) and also be able to play build 42 would be great thanks!

That seems to be the answer you're looking for.

B42 mods will be B42 only, and the older mods for B40-B41 will still work if you play B41.

You can always use B41 even after B42 comes out of Unstable, just like currently you can go back and play B40 if you want to find out what a complete mess the game was just one Build ago. :steamhappy:

You can make backups of both your mods and your save. But I wouldn't worry too much about this until we know 42 is actually imminent.

Thx Sunny, im currently doing that (in case) And thanks to you ★Rainmaker★ for your answer! One more thing, what would happen if i download the unstable version to see what it is than come back to build 41? will this destroy my saves and mods or will it do nothing? lol thx again

It will likely create a new B42 save. And when click betas to go back to B41 it just use old saves. But as always its best to create backup saves for your mod list and game outside game folder. But that is rule for any game :-)

As for switching there "should" be no issue...

I would not worry that much, if you already backed up the mods. Usually the game developers leave the access to the previous major version so you can continue playing your current playthrough until you feel ready to update. And there is always the Steam~way to rollback your game version if necessary.

So you are good with that.

About the savegames we can tell for sure once it is released. But I expect it like dragonsphotoworks mentioned, that you will be easily able to distinguish the savegames. Treat it like modding the game with all usual precautions doing backups etc. etc. pp. and you will never have to fear any changes with the game.
