But this isn't Rimworld. What do you find wrong with the current system?

There is a lot of water pump and water pipe in real world... So there needn't a rainwater collector above wash machine..

there's an immersive mod for solar panels, and one for pipes connection ( tho idk how this one works), but thinking back, you could be able to generate electricity outside of a generator and get water for a nearby river or something.

Having an easy-to-install source of clean water and a reliable source of electricity seems to negate the spirit of a game about a fictional zombie apocalypse, in which you are not intended to survive, and human civilization is supposed to collapse into neo-barbarism and anarchy.

"Water pump"
While Kentucky is indeed kind of a boondocks, do they really have that many wells and manual hand-cranked water pumps?

Rural homes would have their own wells with electric pumps and pressure tanks that hold several gallons of water, so if you hooked up the homes power to a generator you could power the well and have water. Modeling that in game would probably be a major headache though so I can see why they don't do it.

LOL, IRL . . . that is the EASIEST way to get water to a shower, sink etc. Without that, you need a pump and way to pressurize the system.

Depends on where you are at. The further 'out,' from cities, you tend to have homes with their own wells and towns with their own wells.

A bit LIKE Irrigation pipes , i hope there will be a pipe system in future.

You'd be surprised how backwards a 'developed' country can be.

I grew up in a G7 nation in the 90s, about 50 miles from a city. Spent my first 6 years with a hand pump, washing out of buckets, using an outhouse, and not having electricity.

Wasn't even part of a religious community that rejects technology. Thats just how incredibly poor and lacking infrastructure the place was.
