Suggestion about survivor NPC's.
This is a suggestion for when they get officially added, and for modders.

Once you die, you get the option to either, spawn as a brand new random char, or continue as a survivor NPC who is on your team.

Assuming they don't completely rewrite the NPC code when they're re-added, this is probably possible :)

In it's current state, like for mods that just reuse the already packaged NPC code, (especially superb survivors) you're able to swap over to a buddie and then back again. If you die but still have the menu up to change to em, it still works. So, it *is* possible and hopefully will stay that way because this is a sick idea.

It is a complete rewrite. It's why B42 has taken so long

Yea the NPC system will be(probably) new BUT that does sounds ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool.

It is a complete rewrite. It's why B42 has taken so long

It all depends on if they're rewriting what they need and what's best, or absolutely everything. The currently left behind NPC code is, functional, sometimes, at best? Assuming it doesn't get axed in the Build 42 (un)stable that is, which it probably, sadly or happily depending on how you look at it, will happen, but nonetheless, it's a sick ass idea and hope they really do do this when they get Survivors in

Complete nuke and rewrite of the NPC code. The original NPCs from Build 30 were removed by the devs due to them being too buggy and unstable

With Build 42 most of the dev time has been doing a new foundation for NPC code. Human NPCs will come in future builds after B42 is release, tested, and pushed to stable

I expect GTA 6 to be out before we get those delicious human NPCs. the animal stuff seems cool right now though.
