Bandits mod
Currently using the bandits mod combined with day one. Are friendly npcs supposed to run around in my base like a lost chicken chasing me? They also seem to try to destroy my barricaded windows.

My question is. How do they work for you? Is there anything that needs to be changed or not changed for them to do anything productive besides dying to two zombies and being in the way.

Haven't bothered playing with any npc mods, but watching some gameplay, it seems that the AI is that janky.

If you are in the vicinity of water, observe the npc as they fish for a while, leave the fish and wander off to die, usually by getting into a fight with a horde or one of it's own kind.

It's like watching a documentary made for the discovery channel with these bandit npcs.

The random civilians will aggro you if you damage any of them and tbh thats quite easy to do by accident. And thats before you even get to the real bandit enemies. I found the day 1 mod to be hilarious but horribly broken. Its certainly worth trying but dont expect it to work properly all the time :)

i love that mod but the AI def seems to have a mind of its own, esp since they are technically considered zombies by the game.

i had a couple other friendlies with me and one other showed up with a pipe wrench - i tested walking around them calmly for a minute to see if they were aggro, bc i couldn't tell. it also wasn't attacking the other friendlies i had with me at all. so after a minute of nothing happening, i go back to chopping wood, only for my character to be approached behind by Ms. Pipe Wrench and have her head bashed in. needless to say, she didn't make it to the base because of her limping combined with the bandit just getting easy hits on her

I literally just got this mod and I'm already having a blast. It literally changes the whole experience and puts you in the middle of the outbreak

Right click on them and click 'LEAVE ME' and they will depart. You will have random NPCS just run into your house for no reason to buddy up with you.

i hope they make it so you don't accidentally kill the npcs that are on your squad
