Keep an eye on the heart on the left hand side of the screen, if it's wobbling left and right it means you're losing health - the reason will be shown on the right hand side of your screen via the circular 'moodles' which you can hover over, it could have been bleeding, infection, or simply carry too much weight will slowly drain your health and kill you over time.
Incorrect. No amount of weight carried will ever kill your character. You can carry twenty cars worth of spare parts in your main inventory and never die from encumbrance. That damage is capped at 75% max HP.
Before Nordil(Hun) gets here: You can die easier from fall damage if you're over-encumbered. :D
And if your character's head really "blew up", then I suggest disabling the mod(s) that cause such silliness.
Fair enough. Thank you for explaining. Probably bled out without knowing then.
He's got like 38 minutes in game, it's probably his first time playing, likely referring to the splat noise when you die.
And if you play an obese, or underweight/very underweight character.
Even vaulting through the fences can get you injured, so might not necessarily even need to be encumbered. But it helps, to make sure your character dies from fall damage:)
(You can survive fall from 1st story with luck, but you wont really like it as weeks will be required to heal back. From 2nd story, so far was always instant death.)
Most snipers are scared by a dominant survivor who occasionally yells out, its true. It's kept me safe ever since that fateful first encounter.
That, or you use mods.
Did you read a bunch of books just before that?
