Does the pipe wrench do anything?
Or is it just a weapon?

Right now it's just a weapon, which makes it really useful for using up before actual tools like hammers. (IMO, it should be used for some stuff, especially plumbing in bases, or disassembling sinks.)
It's a good weapon and has a damage of about 10 for doors. So you could use it to knock them down.

Isn't it required to move sinks ?

I think you're thinking of the smaller Wrench. I note the possible removal on 41.55.

You'd think it'd be needed to move and/or plumb sinks, but nah, you use the other wrench for that - the one you use for mechanics.

Really ? Last time it required pipe wrench... They must have change it recently.

Yea, I thought the exact same thing and was gonna post saying "Uhhh, actually it's required for moving and plumbing sinks", but I tested it out before I posted just in case; glad I did. No idea when they changed it, but I'm certain doing anything with a sink used to require a pipe wrench and not a normal wrench. Now it's a normal wrench, not a pipe wrench.

Upon looking through the patch notes, I can't see anything anywhere relating to this change - however I'm assuming it was changed in 41.53, as they changed how sinks are plumbed: "Allow plumbing a sink if the water source is directly overhead (as opposed to requiring a square adjacent to the square overhead)." which is another change I hadn't actually noticed.

Haha bashing skulls is great, just want to make sure I'm not breaking a valuable tool in the process.
Side note, how on earth do you break a pipe wrench bashing heads in.
Like, I get that maybe it might not work so great as a wrench anymore if you wail on enough dudes.
But I don't think there's any way a human could hit something so hard with a pipe wrench that it ceased to be a viable weapon.

Yeah, things like that are done for game balance reasons. I mean think about it. If any of the weapons that wouldn't break so easily in real life were like their real life counterparts, then everyone would just use those unbreakable weapons and it would make the game too easy.

Be kinda cool if bladed weapons needed "sharpening" instead of "breaking". It would make more sense, at least. The only time I've ever snapped a blade irl, was when I was using a poorly made Chinese locking knife made out of some type of high-carbon steel as a lever for opening a tin. The tip snapped off and went flying away somewhere. I don't see a blade ever breaking when used to stab or slice - the handle, maybe.

Yeah I get it, it just kinda takes me out of the game a bit haha. Breaking a pipe wrench sounded a bit ridiculous.
I can't think of any way to improve it though without making the weapons system unpleasantly complicated.
