Fever is broken
Fever is literally uncurable.
Zombie virus is okay, you get bitten, you can see it , there is an special sign for that, so it is kind of fair behaviour of the game, in such cases i just stop the game, because all your actions and progress is usless, but still its okay , you made a misstake in a fight and it is consequences .
But random fever is a game braker factor with a completly unlear mechanic that is deeply hidden - you can eat healthy , dispose bodies, always clear you clothes and stay warm and one happy day you get that "light sickness" sign and you already know you are dead. i have never survived fever no matter what i do. the problem is there is now clear rules for it and you can ruin your progress just by it. One may argue it is realistic, but first of all in real life sirvive chance is higher even without meds, just by staying in bed , and secondly after all that is a game and "loosing" just by unlucky factor is not a "realism" witch makes game more fun.
There is a lot of advises like "eat lemon grass, eat food" bla bla, but even with a lucky, living, iron stomach perks you cant survive, or maby chance is too low.
I think that game mechanic must be redesigned, for now ligh fever is a random game progress braker, it isnt a fun or realistic it is just irritating. i love the game and always return to it after some time, but usually i drop it because of the problem i described.

Never found it to be a problem, it's just tedious to deal with when it happens. Treat it like a real Cold/Flu/Fever, Use the Pot O' Soup as cooked meals will help. Make sure you are able to just kind of relax in your base for a while and drop all of your carried gear. This stuff takes time, like healing broken bones. Lots of sleep is helpful, so if you have extra sleeping pills you can use those.

The jist is, keep your character indoors, eat cooked meals (Well fed), lots of rest, and relaxation. What you want is called "Instant gratification" which is not what this game is exactly about. From my point of view, it's pretty realistic to me, you are just not giving us the full scope of what you do in your session. I'm sure you are getting impatient and trying to build and loot and do all sorts of other things WHILE SICK when you should be taking it easy.

Also, you don't just get "random fever". Dispose of Corpses, Don't drink unsafe water, don't eat near spoiled-spoiled food, don't eat random berries. Something you are doing is causing you to get sick. Figure out what's causing it, because once it gets to Fever you are fighting for your life and have to hunker down for a while to combat the health decay.

I believe common mallow is an herb that treats fever. Lemongrass cures poison and nausea. Won't help with fever.

That is only for Cold/Flu. It's just like how Lemon Grass is for Food Poisoning, the idea is to fight whatever is causing the illness BEFORE you get to a Fever. Once you get a Fever it's pretty much up to you being well-fed, relaxed, and getting plenty of sleep.

Fever is a symptom of the flu though. I always thought this worked. Haven't lost a character to fever yet....

Neither have I but I'm also under the impression that OP only thinks you can get a zombification infection from only Bites, which isn't the case. So perhaps they are getting scratched and are getting sick, which would cause the Lemon Grass to not do anything for it since it's not Food Poisoning. Which is also why I said we don't even know the full scope of OPs play session to understand what would be causing it. We need to know what the symptoms were BEFORE the Fever took hold, were they getting panicked and then leading up to the other symptoms, were they sick at first, because as I said you don't just instantly get a Fever, something leads up to it and if they couldn't cure it at all it just makes me believe they got the zombie infection and died to it.

Makes sense.

To be honest im surprised that a lot of people dont have same problem. When i get first symptoms, usually i try to stay safe in house, eat, sleep, take off your clothes, and watch tv , take sleep pills to sleep more etc And as i said i have never managed to survive. I always play as a smoker, can it somehow effect your illness?
now i think all this deaths were a zombie infecetion maby from a scratch. So i thought if you wound is fully healed, you cant get infection from it, but maby im wrong.
Do you always become zombie after death or only after zombie virus? because after death from such fevers i always bacome a zomb witch make me think i was wrong and it is zombie virus.
As i think game needs better separation between normal diseases and 100% lethal zombie disease so you could udnerstand better what are you dealing with.
i think ill try playing with Resilient trait

Best way to fight fever is to take outdoorman and never get ill in the first place.
If the wound fully healed it can't be zombie infection, if you get infected from a scratch or laceration it gets infection status that does not heal.
I'm pretty sure you only become zombie from the zombie infection, otherwise you just die like corpses you find dead from drinking bleach etc.

Never died to it. Just took it easy and was fine.

I did, could not go to sleep. Sometimes being wakeful does not help. (No alcohol nor sleeping pills that time and especially no antibiotics:D)

I always play with Outdoorsman and even being fully drenched with a "high chance of sickness" I never got sick, nor did I ever got a fever.

If its zombification, its intended and nothing which can be cured by little dried grass from a random backyard.

The one time I had a fever ramp up (set to Everyone's Infected, so not a zombie virus), I had antibiotics on me, which probably saved my ass. Much like IRL I am always on the hunt for antibiotics to keep in my stash
