How to use containers (dufflebag, plastic bag etc.)
How can you place objects in bags/other containers that you can carry?

just drag & drop them onto the containers icon. It has to be equipped first though.

equip them on your back, in your primary hand or your secondary hand, then you'll have access to them and their contents.
You should also rename them as you get them, so that they don't stack on top of one another when not equipped... it can save headaches trying to find that certain bag with something important inside.

whenever i pick up more pants or shoes etc it stacks ontop of the ones im already wearing. How do I put the extras into the bag without it putting everything including what im wearing into it? Latly I have to keep stripping naked everytime I move them into a bag cause it auto pulls everything. I am assuming theres some sort of way to choose how many on the stack you want to move right? I just havnt found it.

Press the arrow next to the item to see the nested items - then just select the ones you want to move (ctrl-click for multiples i think) and then drag them to the container slot.

Why do you collect shoes? At least pants and tops can be made into bandages or rope, but shoes are fairly useless beyond one pair. Also, all clothes are fairly abundant, no need to hoard them.

You could drag the items to the equipped bag of choice instead of choosing 'grab', or you could make sure you're inventory is currently active on an equipped bag when choosing to 'grab' an item.
Else, 13thGeneral has posted the other solution

I am hoarding bags of chips..I love my chips :-) . I collect every duffle etc i can find and then i have a general bug out bag, but i also separate items into bags and label as such so i can find my items fast. I do play on full time so lots of time to do tasks, but also lots of darkness lol. Somehow my guy wants to sleep at 2pm until he wakes up...im trying to push it out little by little but he is always ready to collapse around 2-3pm :-( .

Thanks for the feedback, I'll try these suggestions out when I have time.
