you can choose sandbox mode instead of survival. there you can set the virus transmission to "never" and you wont get zombified any more.

You still die very easily if you get surrounded in an alley or two or more zombies grab you at once. If you have to dive out a window you're dead also.

I prefer this because nothing sucks more than grinding + permadeath + bite from first successful zombie attack on you.

when you turn off zombification you can also train medical skill for faster healing.

So once you are bitten there is nothing you can do?

You have like a 2% chance of non-infection from a bite.

I think it's actually closer to 5%, but still not a very high chance of survival.

It would be good to have more settings for infection chances. ATM its rather extreme. its either these horrible deadly chances or no chances at all. something inbetween would be better.

Isn't turning off zombification going against the point of the game a bit?

to the right side you got zombie lore. uncheck the standart zombies and look for "infection transmission". put it on "never" and done.

You are right. i would love to see some fine tuning settings for infection someday. right now you can only leave it on or turn it off completely.
without zombie infection you will need some compensations for sure.

Just because you're immune doesn't mean the Zombie apocalypse is easy to survive in.

I'd say the point of the game is to have fun. It's definitely very frustrating to get bit, since it's damn near guarenteed that you're done at that point. I agree with the people saying there should be options to change the numbers a bit. I think a 75-80% chance would still mean bites were almost always deadly, but would still give you a reason to reach for the bandages over the bleach.

Is there any plan for there to be the option that bites have a risk to infect you but scratches do not. TWD lore would suggest it is only a bite that would kill you; pretty sure scratches do not result in death.

Thoughts?

Why not just add really rare item or couple of items that could be crafted into a cure? Being bitten should not just end your game. You should have at least a chance of saving yourself
