I used to live in the Muldraugh tavern, but the hordes increase after month 3. Right now, I love at the Muldraugh rail yard. You have to travel a bit to get anywhere, but it is relatively close to Dixie and West Point.

This is my favorite so far. In solo play, this is amazing as zombies cannot tear down the walls/fences and there is only one entrance, 8 tiles wide. In here, I can fend them off as you can attack through the chainlink and they can't touch you. Has a ton of space for planting, building and more. The large warehouse there has a ton of boxes and the small self storage area on the southeast corner there also has a ton. It's located a few blocks to the southwest of Cortman Medical and right west of the Church. I'm 2 months in and its been so quiet here.

I'm very fond of the isolated forest cabin between Muldraugh and Pony Roam-O. It has a well, plenty of building materials, tons of planting space (once the surrounding trees are cleared), and very little zed traffic (typically). It is quite a way from civilization, but such is the price of solitude.
