Survivor houses, burnt houses and houses that would have had a professional living there.
For example A house might be full of fishing or carpentry gear.
The cool bit is these house events are random with each new save.
btw i like what your doing with that click to move mod it can go in a good direction :)
luckily i was able to give them some time to completely destroy the house and hear them pounding on every single entrance and exit to the home
Are you a user of the mod?
And more importantly did you rate it yet?
i have checked it out nothing more than that but i am planning to use it once its more developed not a fan of newer mods usually cause they are very buggy ill give you a great rate
It's actually bug free as of build v0.3 which is still awaiting 1 feature.
I hate buggy builds going out.
And thank you.
I personally hope to see more house events in the future.
np :) i truly hope to see great events like these and stuff like that puts me into the game in a way. It makes it feel more realistic which is a topic of its own within this game. But the house events can be so cool and i have not even seen them all. Im hoping that when NPCs arrive into the game that there is going to be some really cool npc scenarios where there are kind of setups like Woodbury in the walking dead where a group has built a self sustaining environment in a part of the town. That kind of stuff would truly throw this game miles ahead of the competitors
also, along these lines, i wish that your starting house started with a slight boost to the loot. it should be assumed that if you start there it was likely your own house, and that if it was your house it probably hadnt been looted yet. i dont mean to say that it should be fully stocked, but at least a little boost to useful stuff would be nice. it sucks to start a game and not even find a fork...
in fact it would be really cool if you could get a starting perk such as "prepared," which would greatly improve your starting loot. a decnt amount of non persihible food, a weapon, some other survival stuff. it could be random, such as improve the loot rating of your house by two levels, or it could be like the surviors house and come pre stocked or something... make it doozy, -10 or something to make it more ballanced and hard to take without taking serious flaws. it would be a nice way to jump start your game without having to have loot everywhere in all the houses...
You just need to keep looting and eventually you will venture to houses with all sorts of things and the zombies pouring out the windows is the result of the barricaded windows and doors on the bottom floor so the only exit for them was the top floor windows. I feel that a perk like that would be more of a waste once your done with that because with this recent update i find it alot easier to venture out of my spawn home and quickly get to other ones near me. I always pick the lucky trait which can be a main reason why i dont have the loot problems. I am always finding baseball bats, or ammo on zombies and good enough amounts of loot in homes to sustain early on
sure it would be a trait that wouldnt have a lot of effect after a while (or any at all for that matter), but it might be worth it for a quicker start. i have found that generally speaking the hardest part of this game is surviving for the first few days. then you get some basic gear and everything gets a lot easier. this would just get you to that point much faster.
would it be worth the flaws? who knows. in the long run probaly not, but in the short term, it might be worth it.
i like the rarity of the loot for the most part. it make it more challenging, and things would get looted, which is why id love to have a boost to your starting house, without having to up the loot for the whole world. its less interesting or fun when all the houses are fully stocked right off the bat. but its also annoying to have your staring house empty of anything of any use (even with lucky).
I agree if there was a kind of midpoint but i think the Lucky trait gives me that boost that i need to stay alive long enough to get to that point of being able to get on your feet
With a bunch of other nifty gadgets and toys too.
Boy i love this new update.
