How do you get into the gun and ammo shop???

Get a sledgehammer and use it to break the gate/wall down. If you dont have a sledgehammer, go to the southeast construction site and look around, or find a industrial area to loot.

if you have the time to spare, set a temporary base at the 2nd floor of twiggy (the saloon next to the gun shop), and start to build a sky bridge from there and drop through the ceiling of the gun shop with rope sheet, this way you can keep the gun shop's fence protection intact.

There is a door, but once you get through that you'll find an impenetrable steel fence.

The slope roof are only for the view, they are not solid tile, i had to find this out in the hard way, by breaking my legs. So if you happen to drop where a slope roof is, there is basically no roof to stop you from going in, the only time you will need the sledgehammer is to open a hole at the 2nd floor of twiggy and then just keep building woodenfloor toward the gun shop, and add a fence at the end so you can hang a rope on it. add more fences along the path later for more security if you like.

For all these, you are gonna need to turn the 2nd floor of twiggy into a safe home first, by starting using rope sheet and get rid of the stair. I for myself also built balcony for faming and rain water collecting, well actually twiggy is my main base... But my point is, you gonna need more than just the sledgehammer to do all these, you gonna need wood, which means axe, saw, hammer and nails, and this is not something you can accomplish in 2 ingame days, you will need food, water and what else. Which is why i said if you have the time to spare, but at least the guns wont run away.

that sounds complicated and im using hydrocraft maybe i should take baby steps lol
