Outdoor Lights
Does removing lightbulbs from out door lights on houses do anything gameplay wise or is it just for looks and making it darker?

i didnt even know you could do this. i *think* zeds are attracted to light, or at least makes it easier for them to see u. removing the lights should bring less attention to ur safe spot? dont know for sure tho, just assuming as many of the things in this game are logic based in real life so seems legit ha

That's what I assumed. I'm playing on the experimental build and just came back to the game so I think they just added that or I just never noticed it.

You can change the color of the light by switching bulbs and also get spare ones by taking them from those lights.

Yes, this is true, just to confirm for you.

How do you turn the lights back on after removing a bulb?

This is something i was always puzzled about. I can never find the switch for outdoor lights. I'd scour the rooms initially when i was 'fresh' and look for switches, but never found any. That's why I always assumed the outside lights didn't bring Z's in... but maybe some houses are more dangerous than others because of this?

If it's always on, I'd expect the light to turn on as soon as you install it. Does it?

From what I tied today, only some of the outdoor lights can be manually turned on. For example the round ball like light can not be turned on afaik.

How do you do this? select light with Rclick?
I can't find any switches for them, although switches can occasionally be quite hard to find with opaque shadowed walls in fore-ground, or blending with the colour palette of the walls in general, even when semi-transparent.

Yes just right or left click. I use the light called "Fancy Outdoor Lamp" it works.

EDIT: I mean there is no switches for them. They are automatic just like those street lights (I think) until you pick and replace them. Then just right click on the lamp itself.

It's on IWBUMS.

I heard from somebody that detatching the light and placing it again resets the 'outdoor nightlight' effect.

1. Right click the game on yor steam library
2. Select "Properties"
3. Go to Betas tab
4. insert pass that is
5. IWBUMS will be unlocked on the drop down menu

Just so you know, the Devs don't want the password for IWBUMS to be posted here on Steam. They want people to go here: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/4183-iwbums-the-i-will-backup-my-save-branch/ so that they read the Terms and rules first.
