At the very east of West Point, next to the highway to Louisville, there is a lonely carshop with a high chance for spawning propane gas tanks. Since it is at the outskirts of town, the zombie population is also very low there and nearby you also find the guns store and a large supermarket.

You can also check the propane bbqs that you can find in some gardens. You can extract the tanks of those.

Garages are generally pretty good places to check.

^ This ^ Always check the backyard when looting houses. There's a substantial number of propane BBQs on back porches / yards.

Garages in Westpoint should be a gold mine
Gardens have the fancy bbq there is plenty about.
Garages. Some of those roads WP just nip in every single garage ignore chasing zom until u see some propane.

It is Residential Item. Primarily Metal Work gear. While it also exist in shops. BBQ shop in LV mall.
But u still get a tonne of it out of the Residential.
Mask aswell.
Mask is otherwise hard to find elsewhere than Garages

What i do is ii run thru the hood, break into all garages and strip the shelves of metal and metalwork gear leave it on the floor.

Go back get vehicle come collect it

This because Residential is generally teaming with Zombies. And not worth killing IMO. vs the Span of Distance u may need to cover.

when u do this anyways u will notice there is a tonne of metal working gear.
Many tanks of propane. sometimes u net a haul i netted a haul of 7 propane in one hit.

The Scrap Metal yield, including Pipes and Bars, Sheets and Small Sheets is also huge.

Once it is all stripped it could take at least 2 trips to ferry it all with fully loaded inventory and hands

Also keep an eye out for pickup trucks and industrial Valuline(sp?) Vans. Those can sometimes have propane tanks in the trunk.

Backyards are for me the safest bet. In Muldraugh I have found a lot of these.
Warehouses have them too.

Search BBQs/grills

The Grand Ohio Mall in Northeast Louisville has a BBQ shop with 6 propane grills, with all 6 propane tanks just sitting there to be taken.

It's a roadtrip for sure and it's gonna be packed with zombies but 6 tanks are 6 tanks.

An easier spot is before Louisville, the refugee camp after the military checkpoint has quite a few propane grills too.
