Try to use shotgun in the first place to train your aiming skill (for some reasons shotgun will always be accurate no matter your aiming skill).
If you can, at the character creation, try to get at least 1 starting point in aiming skill (either with a profession, or the "Hunter" perk). You'll then level up that skill significantly faster.
- Noise generator has too low range,
- Radio has too low range,
- Talkie walkie have too low range,
- Shouting has too low or too high range,
- Weapon have unrealistic range...
Range is problematic in this game it seem he can't handle it correctly
At the reverse, just walking can attract all z around in 50 tiles. The noise range system need an entire rework.
Some weapons do less sound than others. The small pistol is the most quiet one, but if you shoot with a rifle, be sure you'll see a lot of them come.
Also, the way zombie hearing works is that the further away they are from the sound, the less accurate they will be to find the source (if they are 100 case away from the sound, they'll go toward a case that could be up to 50 case aways from the actual source).
It's a last resort kinda thing. When you do it, be sure of the consequences that will come with it.
But that has no interest to speak about range because no one can repair that here.
Also having shooting practice, like we have for fitness and train can be a nice thing.
