Was gonna grab this one at discount which is now, is it worth it now?

Well if you are willing, then yes it is.
Most folks get a few hundred hours out of it.
Later this year a huge update is coming, new systems framework etc.
And if you own the game it is for free.
But you can check it out and see if it is to your liking.
Allthough watch some videos about how fighting is done. Elsewise you might not learn it within 2 hours.

That said, If you're the kind of person that Needs a game to tell you what to do, It may be better to put off the purchase of it till it's closer to completion. PZ, at least as it stands currently, Is a sandbox game that only directly gives you one goal and one ultimatum.

The Goal:
Survive.

And

The Ultimatum:
"This is how you died."

Once you learn how to survive, You'll have to make up your own goals. Learning to survive alone though can take hundreds of hours depending on how good you are at gaming in general.

imo it was worth it at full price a long time ago, good game, I’ve gotten alot of play time out of it and still come back on occasion

Oh yeah i forgot the part, where most folks have at least a hundred hours, there are those over a thousand hours put in the game(me included). For those that place a hundred hours, that is like 25 cents per hour cost wise(+electric and perhaps net bill cost). For those over a thousand it is like 2.5 cents:D Basicly there is barely anything as cheap regarding entertainment. (I have very few games that come close or top my hours in this game:)

Play with mods. i suggest finding a good Mp server with folks thatll help you out. Head over to discord at "sleepless" for the inv code. the community there are awesome and love to help. You can dm me "Apex" on the dc server if you want

1270 hours in. Absolutely worth it. Base game is fine. I play solo but multiplayer is good. As for mods, yeah I use a lot of them, but play base game 2 weeks before adding anything game changing. Then you'll know what parts you like and what parts need extra. There is no end game. This is how you died.

Been playing since 2013, almost 600 hours online, probably twice as much offline. Game is very worth it if you're someone who enjoys sandbox games. There's a bit of a learning curve, but if you stick with it the game is a load of fun. Especially with friends

Ok, thanks y'all, I've bought it.
I love zombies, survival and RPG game.
Not sure about the "no main objective" other than survive. Probably gonna heads to multiplayer if getting lonely playing solo.

The frustrating thing seems to be how the server menu is really confusing to use. Coming from a slightly similar game like Don't Starve Together, it's frustrating that there aren't any official public servers to pop in and learn the game through. This game looks so damn fun, but the thing about DST and this game is that you clearly want/need someone to teach you the ropes to get accustomed to it. Having official, mod-less, daily reset servers would facilitate this really well, but the lack-there-of makes me reluctant to get into this game.

Yes. Its the best Zombie game available. You can have fast or slow zombies. Mods for everything. Single player and multiplayer.

Oh dude, it's 33% discount right now. If it's piqued your interest then defo get it. Probably one of the best & most comprehensive zombie survival games on the market. It's a triple A dressed as an indie. It's worth while at full price in my not entirely humble opinion. Modding community is amazing too.

One of those few games on the market where the potential is so incredibly high, they'll probably still be making mods for it in ten years time. It also nicely serves both single player and multiplayer bases quite nicely and the dev is still making content for the game.

In my most humble opinion, the dev could probably charge £25 at full price and it would still be a good deal for the player.

Paid £5 around 11ish years ago, before it even came to Steam. It's been worth AAA cash the entire time.
