sandbox settings water shutoff
what are these numbers (14 default)? seconds, hours, days, months, light-years?

In multiplayer, we found that as soon as your character hits "time spent alive: 14 days", then they both shut off on that 14th day. So you literally have to check the info tab on your character.
It get's weird, in that the 14 days don't synch to the actual in-game days if you don't have sleep enabled.

This is what I noticed in my playthrough (with 2 friends), where we kept the setting default, which included not needing sleep.

Days for multiplayer. Solo has intervals you can select.

Light-years is a measure of distance, not time :P

Water Shutoff: The water will randomly stop working any day within this range. For example, selecting 2-6 months will give the player at least 2 months to prepare themselves before the water is shutoff. There will still be some left over water in sinks and toilets, however this is non-sustainable and will eventually run out.
