Can't pick up rain collectors

So, i was playing and geeting close to my first month when i finally settled down and decided to prepare for the end of water and power. Tha'ts when i walked into a fishing store and found two rain collection barrels.

So far so good, i dedicated a whole day to recovering these barrels, including gacing three herds of zombies to get my car safely there. Arriving, i tried to get these barrels, but it wasn't possible. Initially i trought it was because the were full of water, so i emptied the both, but nothing happened. When i try to pick up the barrel icon it turns red and no explanation is given, i also can't move it, or roll it. Is there anything i can do? I really dont want lose this entire day for nothing. The only thing that work were emptying or dismantling.

Another silly question what method are you trying to pick up a collector? right click barrel and look for pick up?

I think you need to use the Pick up tool on the left side panel to move a barrel, like you pick up a chair.

Maybe you need a tool you don't have? Maybe you are too encumbered?

You might not have enough carrying strength to pick them up with the tool. For example, you need to be under 10 cap + a crowbar in order to pick up an antique stove and place it.

well, it doesn't matter anymore, i went back to the game to make sure i had a hammer and while i looking in the inventory, even after makeing sure serveral times that i had killed all the zombies, 4 simply appered behind my back and killed me due to lack of sleep and exhaustion from the battle to clear all the zombies in the morning.

28 days an 386 dead zombies... well, thanks for the tip guys.

Lack of sleep and exhaustion. In this condition it is the best idea to do some remodelling:)
