Report a translation problem
I should say that I still have yet to actually do this myself, but that's my understanding of how it works. You might have to use the R key to cycle through the objects on the selected tile.. for example if there are curtains on the window, you can take those as well. (I have done that)
Henkers refers to the mod Building Menu, not vanilla. I see he/she asked in that mod's discussions but got no reply yet. I don't use that mod, so I got no clue either.
Repeat steps above, until you reached the amount of Glass Panes that you need.
You can also find ready-made Glass Panes in garages, warehouses etc.
By default, all windows requires the same amount of materials.
With all materials ready, go to Building Menu > Left Click on any Windows you want and hover towards an emptied "Windowed Wall Frame" and install the window.
