It showed up as a recommended game for me here on Steam, as it did some years ago. Back then it didn't catch my attention, but then it did this last time. Now it's my favourite game :spiffo:.

I don't remember, but somehow I found a demo way back before the game was even on Steam. I checked back every few years to see how it's doing, and only just recently decided to take a deep dive.

Spiffing Brit breaking the game's multiplayer.
Thanks to AmbiguousAmphibian I found the game. Best random find ever.

I'm sorry you had to watching a Spiffing Brit video. He's genuinely one of the most annoying Youtubers I've ever listened to.

fr that's rare. When i was using the discovery queue to find new games, i bought it and immediately regret buying the game.

Exploring the steam zombie games several years ago.

I saw it being played in a Youtube video by "Nurse".

I watched a youtube video of a modded GTAV with Trevor trying to survive 100 days in an increasingly zombified city, with minimal base building. Checked the comments and every other one was saying it was like a 3D Project Zomboid. I then checked reddit for PZ and was quickly convinced to give it a go.

It was 2013 and a friend of mine told me about this project. I've been playing since there and enjoying all patches as soon as they come.

Cool. Good for you.
I enjoyed his videos about breaking games. I found a lot of great games thanks to him. Including PZ.

I was looking for other rogue-like games as it has been my most favourite genre for the past 4 and a half years or so, I used to be into console and all those triple A titles but as soon as I bought my gaming laptop I have fallen in love roguelike/survival games, despite the simple graphics that gets made up for in the depth of these games which I love

I always loved zombie games and zombie movies, I did my daily zombie game google search sometime around 2013 or 2014 and seen the game, when it released on steam I bought it around 10 or so years ago.
