I just lost my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 3 month character over a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bed, I wanted to get a new bed for my base because I didin't have one, So I went to a nearby house, Picked up a bed and tried placing it in my house, But it didin't work, So I thought it was a bug and went onto a different house, And tried grabbing a new bed, But the alarm went off and I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ died, Big woop.

So you didn't notice that beds have more than one part that is required to assemble them? Not a bug.

Are you sure you grabbed all pieces of the bed? Such as 1/4, 2/4 and so on.

and you must have them on you or on the ground whether they are in the same tile as you.

I had the bed dissasembled and only 4/4 was on the floor, So thats the only part I took.

I tried placing IT in a hardware store, That was my base.

If the only bed part you had was 4/4 and no other parts were there then you failed to disassemble the bed correctly as the other three parts were destroyed.

This is very likely what happened. You'll either want this mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2699828474

Or you'll want to have higher carpentry level since for some reason everything is nailed to the floor.
