Best fuel for campfire?
Hi, i like the idea placing campfire in forests and abandoned warehouses etc to sleep the night there but is there a way to add fuel to campfire without have to bring down a tree?

Or is there a way to pick up a campfire without it losing fuel?

Zombie clothes, scrap wood, planks, books, magazines can all be added as fuel
No once you pick it up it is reset. You can put the fire out and save the fuel that way though.

I'll pretty much use anythingg but planks. but only because it aesthetically displeases me to do so >.>

I collect TONS of extra book copies though >: ]

Extra books and that pesky scrap wood you get from leveling carpentry are my personal favorites.
I recently found out disassembling fences is a great way to raise carpentry skill and it creates a ton of scrap wood and planks.

I still have yet to bother building a camp fire.. but I have made a bunch of camp fire kits. So even though I have a ton of hours in the game now, I still have to ask a noob question: can you use skill books in fires? I saved all the skill books I finished, intending to burn them, but I noticed it wasn't letting me use them to craft fire kits.

Yes, you can use them as fuel once the fire is down.

No one mentioned toilet paper yet? That's surprising.
Unless you don't want to go back to a town, that's the best fuel source at the moment.
It's lightweight and a single full roll can provide you with tens of hours of fire.

Pews and crates are also good:)
For fences, at least certain kinds their biggest bonus is you get screws too:)
