mods, don't ban me. he said it, not me
there's an army surplus store in Louisville i think with lots of guns and ammunition. there's also a military blockade at the south entrance of Louisville with many different cars and an armory. the watchtowers are guaranteed to be filled to the brim with thousands of dollars worth of firearms and ammo. both hospitals have tons and tons of medication, medical supplies and if a mod allows you to do corpse autopsies, you'll find everything you need for one there.
ps: if you plan on living your days out in peace, get the ♥♥♥♥ out of louisville right now
But is there a practical point? I don't think so. I have everything I could need for the foreseeable future. Now that I'm finally attempting farming, it's less likely that I'll want to be that far away for very long.
With default loot rarity and a really long-lived character, I believe you could possibly develop a need to move closer to Louisville. With my settings (Normal/Common loot mixture) I could probably live for years on March Ridge's canned food alone.
I'm just kidding, I don't really care ;) You do you bro.
Just like going to the secret military base, there's no real point of going there other than the sake of going there.
I still haven't been able to reach that city, and my goal is still to create as many "survivor compounds" as possible in there. That's at least the challenge that I set up for myself.
If your favorite hobby is dying a gruesome death, then Louisville is the place for you. There's a challenge in going there, but there is a LOT of loot there. Not different loot, just a lot of it.
But if you are trying really hard to survive as long as possible, it might be better to stay away.
That depends on a number of factors. Like if you're using mods to bypass the amount of zombies allowed to spawn near you.
