Painkiller addiction?
Maybe add a negative trait which reduces your strength and requires you to take painkillers on a regular basis or suffer withdrawal symptoms? And even if you didn't start with the trait you can get it from taking too many painkillers

you can't get addiction to regular painkillers, only special strong ones that doctors give you or give you recipe.

Oh. I've heard stories of people getting high off of cough syrup, so I assumed that you could get off regular painkillers too.

Actually as all medicines have/can have side effects, it is possible to get addicted(though most likely mental addiction, or as they say psychical addiction), though is a very and extremely rare case.

But what Heral Rejn says is almost perfectly accurate, there is a reason why all opioid containing painkillers are behind a prescription wall and to be overseen the dosing by a doctor. They are ALL HIGHLY addictive. It is common knowledge and common sense for over a 100 years, which is why i fail to see how doctors could believe that oxy and the like cannot cause addiction.
