Reheat the food
I made a pot of pasta and stored it in fridge. I tried to re-heat it before I eat it again, so I put it in the oven and let it run until my pasta's overcook bar appeared.

However, after I move my pasta out from oven, it quickly says "Better Hot" again. Does this mean my pasta turns cold again?

Yea it was red -- just for a few seconds. If I heat it longer, the "overcook" bar will grow

That's fine as long as the bar is not full, like real life you can heat stuff but also burn it

Hmm, so technically speaking, we got only limited chances to re-heat a certain pot of food, as it finally gonna be burnt after several times of reheat?

No. Since the overcook bar decreases over time, you will never burn it unless you get distracted.

Ah OK... I didn't know that overcook bar decreases over time. Thanks!

I've had issues with cooking in my recent game.
Shouldn't be able to throw bacon in an oven with no utensils. Ever tried it? doesn't work well.
Not sure if its because of some of the mods i'm using or what but its getting to me a little lol

I have never seen any reason to heat up food in the game, or am I missing something?

The stats are the same cold, room temperature, and hot.

You gain a little bit happiness by eating hot food.
Not too much tho.

Honestly heating up food is never worth the time u take to do it unless u really don't have anything better to do.

If u want to get rid of accumulating unhappiness i recommend using a mod that very slowly decreases it over time when u sleep, 'Sleep on It'. Because realistically sleep is emotionally relaxing and helps you cope with stress and sadness irl.

How did you verify that it actually gives a bit more happiness?

Check it's status.
My game is not in English so I can't tell the exact term displayed in your game, but it says something like "depression -X" -> this x becomes larger if you heat your food.

You have how many hours Willie and you're honestly saying you've never seen the "Better when hot" tooltip and -2 unhappiness debuff?

(Or is it +2 unhappiness? You get what I'm saying.)

And do YOU know every single intricacy of the game? I think not.

But lets go with that, where exactly is this non-existent tool-tip? I can't find it.

I also reheat the food and it NEVER burns, and the stats NEVER change. I can leave the food in there for hours in-game time and nothing.

Perhaps some mod is messing up my game, or you have a mod that adds that functionality?

Or perhaps it is only for certain types of food...

Only food that still needs to be cooked can burn, or just some specific stuff cannot like the burger. A bowl of beans gets the 2 happiness buff when you eat it hot.

So, only certain 'types' of food have that buff when warm.

I have never played a run long enough to have ever gotten into my canned foods. A garden and all the scavenge last long enough until I start a new game. You probably saw all the industrial fridges I have in my base...
