In the sandbox settings you can list the items you want to de-spawn after time.
Yes I do use a trash mod, but those items should be removed automatically.
I would have to add tons of things to be deleted in the sandbox settings if I have to do it manually :-(
Unless it explicitly says it will remove specific containers (e.g. backpacks, tote bags, paper bags) I would be surprised if it did so. Those are all considered containers, and having a paper bag filled with non-perishable cookies de-spawn would ruin somebody's day.
(I use a trash mod for the items I want to delete when I am in my shelter only)
Anyway, seem to be a bug (damn me). I will try to never again drop something on floor by my own, or put it into a Z body.
Have you tried without any mods? Does sound a bug, a bug from modding.
Trying to use vanilla code (the item on ground despawn timer) along with any bespoke code that messes with item removal would be my first test. Then test against all your mods you have installed.
Items are only deleted when not loaded, you have to move away from the area. Nothing will be deleted if you are in the area.
I would strongly suggest you don't add too much to the delete list, you will regret it lol
You game save file is large because the game records every area you visit and makes a new folder of data for each region. This means your save will be gigantic if you drive around the game world. You can manually delete this data if you wish and when you visit the region again it will be re-loaded.
Hey, thank you, this seem my issue. I have couple of questions please:
1. How do I delete a region I visited
2. If I delete a visited region, will the game keep the loots in the various storage and reload it properly on my next visit, or will it be either deleted or regenerated?
I have loot option --> no respawn. I'de like to keep the items as per the first visit.
3. Can I delete all regions, even the one I am currently in?
