There is nothing you would have found if you followed the sound.
I think sometimes you can find bodies and blood if you go and investigate. Hard to tell if it's from that particular meta event or some other one that triggered though.
Oh cool I'll keep an ear out, thankfully I haven't gotten the helicopter event yet lol
If you find those bodies inside a house, you can sometimes find guns in their inventory. It's because the person committed sudoku with the gun.
If want to specifically find extra loots, you can try annotated maps instead.
I think you meant hara-kiri/seppuku, lol
There's a mod for making the meta sound events more immersive that does just that. Following the sound of gunshots might lead you to a guy who died fighting and all his loot, or hearing a car crash will actually spawn one nearby with loot.
there are mods how ever that add new meta events like the expanded helicopter events that adds a variety of different events that cause horde movement, reactive sound events that play sounds depending on the weather and how aggressive/passive you are with your play style, random sound events: anarchy that adds cars crashing and more, etc. they are really well made and i recommend you check them out.
