When should I replace my car's parts.
After playing a few hours, I hit jackpot: a Bulldiver with Engine quality 90+.

Got to work on it, leveled my Mechanincs and metalworking, and replaced all of its pieces for Performance parts.
But the things is, after doing dozens of trips to March Ridge, by tires and suspensions are getting below 50% condition.

So my question is: WHEN should I replace the degraded components?

I have stripped several cars from their performance parts, all in the 75-85% condition, yet I am aware that they are eventually going to run out, so I should use each part to its maximum every time.

Let me give you a word of advice:

DO NOT level up mechanics on a good engine.

Now that 90+ quality engine is in the 50's because of poor decision making.
But to answer your question, that should be self explanatory. If your numbers are green I think it's obvious the range at which you should consider replacing parts.

I leveled my Mechanics by doing the "De-attach/Re-attach car part until you can do the same to a better car part". All with busted (red) parts, of course.

Actually, it isn´t. I have no idea which one is the condition range a car part can go until it becomes unreliable.

not an in-game mechanics expert but this is how i handle vehicles repairs:

ok but for real what i recommend is that you should start replacing parts depending on how important they are for example engine and battery should be replaced/repaired ounce they start to go under 50%, tires 40%, lights whenever they start to become dim, and anything else if you feel like aren't preforming as well. trunks and hoods are also important as the higher the quality of the trunk is, the more loot you can carry and the higher the quality of the hood, the less damage the engine and battery take upon crashing into sh!t.

farming experience should also be done on old, beat up, and/or crashed cars as the condition of their parts aren't great so you don't risk anything good getting broken when you fail on removing something as certain parts like gas tanks and the such require high mechanic levels to remove or repair successfully

you should replace them at around 50%... but see if you can repair them first. remove them from your vehicle, repair them once or twice, use them until you find better, not-busted not-repaired parts, then fully replace.
In my experience it's a good time to replace the parts when they are at about 10-15% condition. Those tires wear down sooner than you know it and often I've found my tires popping at the most inconvenient of times. Replacing those parts above any other percentage is a waste of the part. Get as much out of these parts as you can but don't delay the inevitable either.

As one other person said, try and repair the parts as well but before you do any of this however, make sure your mechanics are at a high enough level that way you don't risk breaking or reducing the parts' condition. Find a vehicle and use it as a vehicle to train with before working on your main ride that way you insure maximum effectiveness.

Doing that already: farmed non-stop until I could replace EVERY part safely (I think Mechanics 7?)

Doing that already: I try to keep the hood at 95%+. Same for the car trunk. Not exactly efficient in terms of iron plates, but i'm doing it anyway.

Don´t ask me. I am as surprised as you are.

Wait.

Are you saying that I actually CAN repair individual car parts? Like the brakes, suspension, or tires?
