How do i dentify what mods are lagging my game?
Im using 150 mods and my framerate is half of what i get in vanilla (not to mention the stutter) when walking around muldraugh with the default amount of zombies same zoom. Is there any way i can figure out what should i disable without running a thousand tests? something like a performance analyzer would be quite useful, at the very least what should i look out for? my bottleneck isnt the graphics card and most of the mods that i have don't seem that complex/demanding, i tried disabling most of what could be seen as heavy (like britas weapon pack and authentic z) and i barely notice an improvement

The game will show you which mods have an error from them. In the upload screen.

it's possible it's from mod count

It really depends on the mods used but this goes for every game in existence. More unofficial files = more lag.
yeah but in some its much less noticeable, used to have 400 mods in gmod and my game ran almost the same

150 mods is too much, especially if they affect the world or they add custom items in game. I remember someone saying that 120 mods is usually the threshold where you start to feel the game lagging, it's probably less if your computer is not too good.

Idk about the technicalities of loading mods into Zomboid, but you surely can't compare with gmod because here you really need to take care on how much mods you're using. :p
if you have superb survivors or w/e npc mods, i think you should try disabling that first.

Check if you have any mods like the survivors and the mod that spawns zombies in buildings without needing to go close or enter the building (forgot mod name). These kinds of mods usually have persistent active entities that could lag the game.

Otherwise its unfortunately a remove mods in little groups and trying each time till you get the solution (keep a backup of original list save file)

Britas is the gun mod right? If so it should'nt lag (because these mods just need some time to populate the map but otherwise are just a name and object) unless for a duration when you enter a new sector of map. Also, check the size of your latest save folder. Older games keep accumulating lots of data and get slower over time.

P.S. If your character holds too much in their inventory, it will lag. inventory lag is a thing
