At the moment, yeah. I think. I've never done any farming myself, but my friend never seemed to have any trouble pulling in lettuce and carrots from his farm during November through to February in the last game we played. The ground was often white with thick snow.

I can't promise it wasn't some sandbox thing affecting it though, maybe temperature just slows down crop growth and decreases the yield and the sandbox settings were such that crops grow normally during the cold weather.

I know they can be grown inside buildings (warehouses make good indoor farms) without any issues though, you don't even need to irrigate the soil or even replace it.

Farming overhaul is coming at some point, so expect that info to change and become more realistic in regards to seasonal crops and different hardiness depending on each crop...and hey, maybe we'll get corn to grow. Kinda sad how we can't grow corn yet the icon for the Farmer profession is corn, lol. I hope we get corn.

Not that I am aware of, no. Only during the spring/summer and early fall months.
But let it be known, I am not a Project Zomboid veteran. I'm not aware of any greenhouse mechanics in the game. Though that would be fantastic

That's why modders are awesome. Not only corn, but wheat, fruit trees, olives, sugar cane, and even sheep, cows, pigs and chicken.

Far too dangerous to allow the player to grow their own corn. Can you imagine how people would break the game's balance if they had an unlimited supply of telecorn??

I got a late start on a farm for one of my chars. Started in November but was able to reap through December also just very slow growth.

You can currently grow all year round.
However you have to take some things in consideration.
One of them is the temperature. If it is below a certain degree the crops will not grow, and most likely will die off. (So during winter have some form of heating for them. Folks usually use antique stoves for that. But if you prep the stage well and are sure you won't accidentally walk into it a campfire can do as well.)

Second is the water levels. You need to water them certain times. Elsewise again they die out.

Third is watching out for disease. The crops can get diseases. They have cures, however it is better to spread your crops 1-2-3 tiles apart so you dont infest your whole farm if one gets sick or infested. (There is bug related, and other related diseases. So cigarettes, and other stuff can be used to make cures, but you need to find the farmer magazine to make them. Or have the profession. I think farmer starts with all or 2 out of 3 cures.)

Fourth: you can use fertilizer to speed up the growth of your plants. It is like 10-20% so most folks dont use it as it is not worth it, and it is just another hassle. However it is worth making fertilizer because the compost barrels give you regularly worms:)

Fifth: watch out for different growth periods. Some take more time some take less. And they also have different nutrietient values, and also, different rotting times. Potatoes last the longest, so they turn to stale like after 4 days, while the rest usually turns to stale after 2 days. (Rot in 8 days, and 4 days)

You may be using a mod, because I regularly see my crops growing in the dead of winter, outdoors, when the temperature is well below freezing.

Nah no mods that alter it. Only random spawn
Been doing the crop growing like this for ages.
Might be that they grow now during the winter and are not affected by temperature.
I started farming like back in version 39? or 40? And since then i allways kept them heated:)
So perhaps i am just accustomed to it requiring heating and they do not need it anymore.
But i am fairly certain that with the farming overhaul temperature will likely matter, so better prep for it:D
