If you feel like you are cheated by the game and want to cheat back, might as well use debug mode and give your survivors the skills you want to give them.
Would be fine if you didn't die due to TOTAL BS.
Rooms filled with zombies (aka bathrooms/porta potties etc)
The new (was new) car door mechanic is HORRIBLE, and should really have a car animation to show it.
wounds are really dumb, a scratch on your arm/hand basically rules out any fighting...because apparently a scratch cripples you, but a full on laceration to the head does nothing.
Also, Fire kills you WAAAY to quickly, but takes like 20min in game to kill a zombie.
Don't get me wrong the game is fun, but until things like that are fixed/re balanced I'll play with the journal mod.
In singleplayer I'd rather just restart, since the funnest part is the early game anyway, at least right now. Maybe that'll be subject to change in the future I.E when you've got a dog to grow attached to, although maybe not - imagine dying and coming back to your house only to find out your dog is now hostile and feral towards you, because you're no longer "you" anymore. Would you want to continue in that situation? NPCs as well, of course. I doubt they'd be pleased to meet your clone.
It definitely leads to more careless behaviour though, I've noticed that with my friends over time, although that could also be in part due to experience too, I guess.
Doesn't bother me if people use it, though. Doesn't the Skill Journal have like a million subs at this point? At this point it feels like not using the journal makes you an outlier, lol.
It just doesn't sit right with me...you'd be better off scum-saving every session if your character/game is that important to you IMO.
I think the journal mod is best for the lore/role play/story/etc aspect rather than use debug mode. But either way, it doesn’t matter, right? I just keep journal mod on and if I don’t want to use it I don’t have to.
