Mods known to cause Stutters/Frame Drops
I currently play with many mods and i sometimes the game suffers frame drops while im fighting or driving a vehicle, i wanna know what mods are known to cause that type of lag, it goes from a constant 180-200 fps to 20 or 15.

I think its a game thing actually I have i5-11th gen I still suffer from drops even ON ssd if alot of zombies spawning Even driving whenever Zombies spawn But you can decrease the chunk you load to lessen the lag that helped me alot

yeah, i also did that but it lags anyways, but it helps a little bit ty
There are like 100 different reasons for lags. And a hundred different ways to deal with it. You should probably start by searching for lag on the workshop and seeing what mods pop up to fix which issue. However, Better FPS will increase FPS but at a price that may or may not matter to you. I didn't have to change my plays style at all so it worked great for me. It basically works by reducing rendering distance. Depending on how you play you could run into situation where you are trying to access a areas that hasn't been rendered or that needs to be running when you aren't there. I tend to stay in one place for long periods and when I do move I don't go nearly fast enough out pace the render area.

Another thing to try would be the any mod that fix inventory lag. Because of a rather large oversight by the devs mods that add large number of items will cause needless lag because the game game tries to load all of their tool tips regardless if you can actually see the item. So there are number of mods that fixes so you only have access to tool tips in your inventory, shocking I know. This is one of those things that should have been fixed in a official patch or update a long time ago.

There are a lot of mods that do a lot of math repeatedly with no limit. The problem can be easily seen if you know some basics about modded. Anything that is triggered by player update should be questioned. Anything that spams the log viewer should be questioned. There are some mods that can be fixed just by removing the log spam. Printed messages is usually only used for debugging so seeing it at all could be sign of poorly created mod.

What about vanilla game? Does it stutter as well?

Big mods like Superb Survivor, Barricaded World, or 10 Years Later tend to cause lag because of heavy scripting and/or adding additional objects for the game to render. Car mods can also cause this issue if you installed way too many of them. Map mods can also create this problem given most of them are densely packed.

It'll get especially bad if you have them all installed together.

I won't discount the possibility of something as mundane as Combat Text mod causing the lag as well.

Do you have any fashion type mods? This can be problematic, especially when trying to rip clothes.
