This is my experience well. Maybe once AI enters into game development these smaller studios will be able to keep up with the big teams and produce a lot of content, but until that time I wouldn't expect any robust 3d survival worlds anytime soon.

Keep dreaming though, I know I will lol.

There was a 3d EA game like Zomboid awhile back, but I think it either got review bombed or it really was that bad.

I wish this game was 3d. It's really the only thing that could revolutionize what it is now. Mods help improve the gameplay but don't really change the game itself. They only add to it. Then again, being 3d wouldn't do that either.
