I like making the area look like a pile of garbage
I do still go out for Gas, and use the majority of the day time to kill Zeds that are swamping nearby Warehouses. Someday I'll get in there xD
I pretty much come up with a game plan before playing and try to make that happen. Many times what I do is centered around a mod.
Rosewood is always my first fortress town.
With the fire station and gas station up north as some sort of FoBs.
The church as the center of operation and the apartments across the street as main resource warehouse.
As Armagenesis, I also secure towns. I build great bases, equip gas stations with generators, and prepare emergency points between towns, with water collectors and a box with canned food, spears, rudimentary tools, camp fire materials, tent...
I love looking for cars from mods (I'm a big fan of Ki5's) and I tune them into wheeled fortresses. Now I'm looking for a bicycle, a street sweeper and a big truck.
