Is this game worth it?
Thinking about getting it sometime in the future. I've done my research, but honestly, I wanna hear from some people who play this game. Is this game worth it? It seems good to me, but IDK

A group of us play on a private server, and we have tons of fun.

Incredibly worth it. Its criminal how little this game costs. Also, its in very active development and things will only get better and bigger in the future.

There were only 2 certain things in life, yr parents luv u when ur cute n chubby, then they throw u out when u start getting horny.

Now there's Zomboid is 100% totally worth it and then some.

All hype aside depends what you're looking for. If you're the type who wants to find a machine gun with infinite ammo five minutes after you start so you can start lobbing nuclear hand grenades at the two billion undead in front of you, might not be the best fit. If you're interested in challenge, as in using a fork to hold off the hordes when a single scratch can spell the end with no cure or second chance, this is your game. Keep in mind the mod situation is super important, they can completely alter things. Additionally there's a world of difference between single player and multiplayer.

Best 'under twenty' you'll ever spend. If it's on sale, it might be 'under ten'.

I've only got like 900 hours in the game. so not many hours >,> but I'd say I think it's worth it, I guess. Maybe even occasionally fun. Plus I love my :deadrat: burgers.

Yes the replay value alone is good for a game. Take a look at the workshop content to see a general idea of all the mods available. A few developers started off making mods so its pretty cool seeing them still leaving room for people to create. The developers interact with us time to time which is always reassuring in any early access game development, in my eyes.

In terms of endgame there really is none right now until build 42 drops, no eta, so if npcs like animals and humans are something you are looking for i would wait until then ,if that is a big selling point for you. I love the game and easily one of my top 10.

Other than that the sandbox customization features are great and you can easily tailor the settings to your individual playstyle. Combat is a little different and takes a little to get used to but not bad.

Lastly the community on discord and steam forums have helped me immensley, i have been playing the game on and off since 2014 and always learn something new and have met some cool peoples in the process.

Yes, it's one of the most depressingly realistic zombie survival games around.

It has a lot of mechanics that other games ignore. In project zomboid your mental health is as important as your physical health. I've died more times trying to relieve near crippling stress or extreme boredom and depression, then I have from the actual zombies that dragged me down. Yeah, the zombies killed me, but only because I was making a dangerous run to a bookstore for something to read and keep my character from unraveling mentally.

The game has a ton of depth too. It looks simple, but it's not.

PS the amount of work the developer does on this game, and continually does, is insane. He just keeps adding more and more and more content.

I was hesitant to get this game. I finally gave in and hated it for the first few hours. Now it is one of my favorite and most played games. If you buy it be prepared to be frustrated but if you play past that and learn it, you will not put it down.

I would say yes it is worth it but it is a hard game that has a learning curve, I think the game is better to play with a friend or friends although that is my personal opinion.

280 hours on it so far means something.

This basically. I don't think it can be expressed any better.
