The Bad Reviews...

i spent some time to just read some reviews of the game, just out of curiosity. i´m going to apolagize before hand for what i´m about to say, but to me most of the negative reviews just does´nt make sense. there are 2 points that they all make:

1. that the development process of the game is incredible slow.
This there is some truth to, the rate at which it grows is quite slow, however that is not neccesarily a bad thing in my opinion, it likely means that the game has a development team who actually cares about the product and is trying their best to make good results. I really just dont see what that has to do with a review of the game as it is now, because after all what you´re reviewing is not what it will be, but what it is now. otherwise your just making guesses. when you make a steam revies you´re telling other players if its worth buying the game as it is, that is the core purpose of the reviewing function, and when you make guess work it kind of ruins the point.

2. the game is just not good/fun.
alot of the revies are from peopl who have somewhere between 10 to 100 hours in the game. and this statement from them simple just come off as kind of... dumb. neither the game, the developers or the community is hiding the fact that IT IS A HARD GAME. you´re not going to master this game with out putting your brain into it. i have 1000+ hours and i´m not anywhere close to having mastered it, i still make bad decisions every once in a while. but all the things they say are things like "Guns make no sense because they`re too loud" or "The zombies are to broken". and all that really says is that they dont really get the point in the sentence "This is how you died". the game is not surpose to be easy, its not surpose to be fun, its surpose to be realistic. and it seems to me that ALOT of the people who wrote the bad reviews did`nt know what they signed up for. but would you write a Dark Souls review without finishing the game? no, same should go for this, and my point is. i dont think those who have between 10 and 100 hours in zomboid really know what they´re talking about when reviewing it :/ they seem to quit before they get into it, which is kind of sad :/

It's a game so it is supposed to be fun. Different people enjoy different things, and as for this community I guess they just take fun in overcoming the difficulty and survive.

You need to view the up/down thumbs and the actual review as separate.
The thumb represents their feelings on the product and the review gives an idea of the content.
Even a review with a thumbs down can cause people to buy a game if it describes what those buyers are looking for.
In essence: take the positive/negative thing with a grain of salt.

or slacking, people getting older and this game has been in early access for 10 years
and consider lot of early access got abandoned, can you really blame them ?

people just want to see the product they support to finally complete
