Would you buy the soundtrack in the future?
I'd personally go for it, as I normally do with all the games I like, but I'm curious about your opinions.

Only if I really wanted to support the devs. I honestly don't even know what the game soundtrack is like. Hearing is one of your most important survival tools, and having music set to anything other than zero in a permadeath survival game makes about as much sense to me as adding bleach to salad.

I played without music at some point, but I really like the spice that it adds to the game. I just set it low to be able to enjoy it while being able to hear zombies at the same time.

Yep, however I don't use music in-game, aside from not being able to hear quieter cues, some strings and chords sound too much like said cues.

Yes, I know what you mean. There are music tracks that sound more or less like zombie groans which sometimes make me paranoid, which is the main reason I lowered the music.

The only game soundtracks i've really listened to outside the game itself is the AC2 soundtrack and a few of the Chaos Theory songs. So no.

But the soundtrack is fine while playing -- though a few of the ambient songs have rhythmic beating that confuses my paranoid brain into running outside to make sure it's not my door getting banged on. You can just set something like numpad * as the toggle music key for stuff like that.

The only song i can't stand is the one while loading in, with the generic Arabic singing mixed with annoyingly out of tempo, discordant strings. I've always hated it.

Mmnh, that's actually a pretty good idea I didn't think about.

I'm okay with it, but it's true I sometimes feel like it doesn't fit very well. It was very jarring for me when I first played the game.

I bought the Stardew Valley soundtrack vinyl box set from Fangamer https://www.fangamer.com/products/stardew-valley-complete-ost-vinyl-box-set
as well as the 1.5 update disc with Ginger Island music, Movie Theater songs and JunimoKart tracks!
https://www.fangamer.com/products/stardew-valley-1-4-1-5-vinyl-soundtrack With shipping, it was about U$105. I missed the initial run, but got on the mailing list for the next one!

Without a doubt. I really like the game's tracks.

There are some .ogg files steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\media\music\luatriggered
Those are also available in the Steam Music player. Not sure are these the same ones as in the game, though.
No, I have a lot of games where I absolutely love the soundtrack but PZ just doesn't do it for me. I turn it off. I prefer the darkwook music over it instead if I do decided to use music.

It's fine for the game, not gonna be bumping it in my car though.

The game's music is really iconic and i love to have it on no matter what. I don't tend to listen or buy game OSTs but Project Zomboid and TIS are really fantastic and I would do anything to support the game and team more. :spiffo::needy_heart:
